On this week’s episode, N.I.F.T.Y. and Kay C speak with a recovered sex addict who wished to clear the air where misconceptions of the compulsion exist. In previous shows, Kay C strongly expressed her disbelief of the notion of ‘addiction’, being instead more inclined to think of ’sexual addiction’ as just a crutch for irresponsible behaviour. Listener and former sex addict Chris Elcock heard those episodes and felt that there was a side of the matter that was being overlooked; from his own experience he is convinced that there is far more to the issue than just excuses and lack of self control.
