Didactics w/ D.A. Horton: ABUSED OT TEXTS, pt 3 - "we are little gods"

In the urban context, the idea that we can 'speak things into being', 'call those things which are not, as tho they are', and are declared to be 'a part of the god class because we're made in God's image' get preached on a regular basis. The passage that is often abused is Psalm 82:6 (often teachers who advocate we're are little gods, quote John 10:34-36 as a proof text and then take it back to the Psalm 82:6 passage that Jesus was quoting).

The answer to the question 'are we little gods' should seem simple to answer (NO!), however there are many teachers in our day who argue up and down that we are. Tune in today to hear what the CONTEXT of Psalm 82 is addressing and who the fulfillment of this Psalm is.

Often in the urban context many OT passages (as well as NT) are taken WAY out of context. Today we spark a 4 part series that exposes 4 OT passages that are often abused in the urban context. Today we will focus on 1 Chronicles 16:22 dealing with "God's anointed" and what "harming" them includes expsing false doctrine or sin issues in lives of teachers/preachers/ministers.
